How to read odds — examples in three formats
bdt displays odds in decimal, fractional and American formats. Below, the same price is shown in all three.
For every ৳1 staked, you get back ৳2.50 in total (if you win).
For every ৳2 staked, you win ৳3 profit — calculate using the fraction.
A plus sign means a ৳100 stake wins ৳150 profit.
Example 1 — Underdog bet (Team A to win)
Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. A ৳1,000 stake returns ৳2,500 if Team A wins (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 original stake). If Team A loses, you lose ৳1,000.
Example 2 — Favourite bet (Team B to win)
Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American -200. American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100 profit. A ৳1,000 stake returns ৳1,500 (৳500 profit) — if Team B wins.
Cricket match winner example (decimal)
In a limited-overs match: Team A 1.65, Team B 2.30. A ৳500 stake on Team B returns ৳1,150 (৳650 profit) if Team B wins. If Team A wins, you lose ৳500. There is no draw in T20, so there are only two market options.
Multi-bet — three selections combined
Odds for three matches are 1.40, 1.80 and 1.90 respectively. Combined multi-bet: 1.40 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 4.79 (approximately). A ৳100 stake returns ৳479 if all three are correct. If any one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Live Betting — odds shift when a wicket falls
Live or in-play betting in cricket means placing bets while the match is ongoing. Odds change after every over, every wicket or a big six. At bdt, you can make decisions in live markets as the match unfolds.
Say Team A loses 2 wickets in the first powerplay. At that moment, Team B's odds to win will shorten and Team A's will lengthen. If a batsman suddenly hits form, you may also see movement in the top batsman market.
